My campaign focuses on improvements to community well-being. Like helping society through community policing, expanding library services, more flexible bus services and reducing household bills through local renewable energy.

About Andrew
Living in Westbourne, I am passionate about the local community and committed to our Parish villages, with five years of proven experience as your County Councillor.
My focus is on improving road safety, tangible solutions for environmental protection, access to renewable energy to reduce household bills, and delivering effective improvements to public services and public transport.
I will continue to deliver real results for local residents, putting Bourne first - free of the usual party politics.
What Andrew has already delivered for Bourne residents
The Bourne Community Bus
In 2022, I created a free bus service to help elderly and less mobile residents and to bring communities together.
With 30 stops, everyone can now get to local shops and leisure facilities across Bourne. The bus has covered 80,000 miles since, and I've personally raised £110,000 to run this invaluable service.

Road safety and potholes
I make sure potholes get fixed, and I've delivered 20 miles of relaid roads here, 5 times that of the average councillor.
I was a member of the WSCC Road Safety Group, helping Southbourne set up a speedwatch group. I've reduced speed limits, delivered 16 road safety programmes, improved traffic flow and road markings to make villages safer.

Campaigning against sewage
For 7 years I've fought to end sewage discharges and storm overflows, organising two Council and two A259 marches and demonstrations.
Southern Water has now committed over £26m to improve our local Thornham sewage works and pumping stations between 2025 and 2030.

Solar meadow and lower bills
We've already got a solar meadow project lined up in Westbourne through the Parish Council, Energise South Downs and Greening Westbourne, but there are plans for other Parishes too.
The aim is to combine this project with home insulation, heat pump and roof solar discount offers, to reduce home costs and bills for every resident.

My vision for Bourne
I am standing as an independent candidate to bring real change to West Sussex, free of party politics.
My vision is for a county that fixes roads, offers truly affordable housing, better public transport, protects the environment and wildlife and prioritises the health of its residents. This means robust public services that always work, plus access to health services for all.
